with february here and january passed, i assume that some of you must be wondering where january’s poems are and why your mailboxes are empty.
this video is to serve as an update and to also help you better understand the work and TLC that i put into this project.
i wanted you to see how much time put into writing each poem, and to then imagine the 50+ copies i have to (because i want to) handwrite, cut, and paste and address, as well as the other 30+ for those of you who are new to signing up for my postal poems; you will also be receiving an introduction poem post.
the reason why this is taking me so long and i can’t seem to ever send them out on their due month? well there’s a few:
-i’m a full-time student
-i work part time for a photographer
-i’m a full-time community, church and friend investor
-the only profit i’m receiving for doing this is the gratification and warmth in my own heart, because i wouldn’t want a monetary profit for it anyways, and i strangely love doing things like this and staying connected with you all in this way.
-i’m my own boss and make my own rules and since you all aren’t paying for a subscription, i can send them out whenever i want and they will always be right on time. :]
that being said, i’m almost done with january’s batch! about 15 more to write and then comes the cutting and pasting and addressing. i’d like to say i’ll have them out by tomorrow morning, but i don’t think that’s entirely realistic. so we’ll say this coming week, hopefully in the early bits.
love you guys. appreciate your existences and friendships more than you know.
